Gigabyte Technology has turned on its hype machine which is now working in full gear to entice gamers with the first official images of the G1.Assassin 2 motherboard based on Intel's X79 Express chipset.
Gigabyte's new G1-Killer board support the upcoming Sandy Bridge E (LGA2011) processors, has the same black/green color scheme as its predecessors, and features a gun-shaped heatsink (yah, we're not drooling over that either), four DDR3 memory slots, two SATA 6.0 Gbps and four SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, three PCI-Express x16 slots, a Killer 2100 NIC, a Creative X-Fi audio processor, and two BIOSes.
That's it for now but expect more details about the G1.Assassin 2 in the near future.
