The scores from comScore are in and they show that in October people in the US have conducted 20.3 billion search queries, up 5% compared to September. Out of those 20 billion searches, 13.4 billion were made via Google sites, enabling the Mountain View company to grab 66.2% of the market.
While Google grew sequentially (from 65.4% in September to 66.2%), Yahoo lost more ground, and secured a 16.3% piece, down from 17.2% in the previous month.
The third place in the search top was once again grabbed by Microsoft who had a 13.6% share (13.4% in September), while the fourth and fifth spots were secured by Ask (2.6%) and AOL (1.4%). Both Ask and AOL maintained their share from September.
