Floods reach one Western Digital manufacturing site in Thailand

Western Digital, the world's number one hard drive manufacturer, continues to keep its HDD plants in Thailand closed due to the floods that are still running rampant throughout the country. The US-based company suspended its Thailand operations last week, on October 12.

WD's facility in the Bang Pa-in Industrial Park has already been flooded while the one in Navanakorn Industrial Park is under threat. Thankfully, Western Digital's employees remain safe.

As a result of the production and supply disruptions in Thailand, Western Digital is saying that "overall operations and its ability to meet customer demand for its products in the December quarter.
