Some eight months have passed since its unveiling but Sony Ericsson's Xperia pro smartphone is only now gearing up for release. Availability for this Android Gingerbread device is slated for later this month but no pricing details have been provided. The Xperia pro packs a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.7-inch (854 x 480) Reality Display capacitive touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset, 320MB of memory, a microSD card slot (8GB card included), an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash (records 720p video), HSDPA & HSUPA support, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a micro USB port, a HDMI output, A-GPS, a stereo FM radio, and an 1500 mAh battery. Sony Ericsson's phone comes in three color versions, black, silver and red.
