Motorola Droid RAZR made official, coming in November
Motorola Mobility today announced the Droid RAZR, a flagship smartphone running Android 2.3.5 that's just 7.1mm thick and features a steel core, a durable Kevlar casing, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED Advanced touchscreen 'treated with' Gorilla Glass.

Motorola's new Droid also packs 4G LTE capabilities, 1GB of RAM, a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera (for 1080p video recording) with LED flash, 16GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot (a 16GB card is included), an 1,780 mAh battery, support for the Lapdock 100 (10.1-inch) and 500 Pro (14-inch), and enterprise-friendly goodies like remote wipe, data encryption, and remote access via the Citrix Receiver. Moreover, the smartphone comes with the SmartActions software enabling enhanced power management (this helps talk time reach 12.5 hours), and includes the MotoCast app for streaming content from a computer straight to your Android device.

"Motorola RAZR is an iconic brand, and one that originally revolutionized the mobile device industry by turning a functional necessity into an object of desire," said Sanjay Jha, chairman and CEO, Motorola Mobility. "Now we've done it again with a head-turning, ultra-thin smartphone that offers users breathtaking speed, innovative apps and revolutionary accessories."

The Droid RAZR will go up for pre-order (in the US) through Verizon on October 27th, and is set to ship in North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Middle East and Africa in November.
