As recently announced, SeaSonic is planning a November release for its previously-mentioned line of 80Plus Platinum certified power supplies. The units in the pipeline deliver 860W and 1000W of continuous power, are fully modular and have an efficiency of up to 92%.
SeaSonic's Platinum PSUs feature a 'near-perfect' DC-to-DC conversion, 99% active PFC (Power Factor Correction), Grade A 105℃ Japanese capacitors, gold-plated terminals, a dual sided PCB layout, one 12V rail, an Easy Swap connector, and a Sanyo Denki San Ace fan that can be set to operate in one of three modes - Fanless, Silent and Cooling.
The 860W and 1000W Platinum units are backed by a seven-year warranty and will bear recommended price tags of €209 and €249, respectively.
